Thorpe Hall Relay Cross Country

Today, we travelled up the road to Thorpe Hall school and our second ever cross country competition. This event is slightly different in that pupils compete in teams of 4 and each complete the 1 mile circuit before handing over to their next team mate. Once again, the pupils really enjoyed the experience and did themselves proud. They were all very excited that every single one of them received a medal at the end. Well done to everyone who took part.

Borough Cross Country

Today, Porters Grange participated in the Borough cross country competition for the first time ever! Schools from across Southend came together at Garons leisure centre to compete in year groups, it was a lovely sunny day and perfect conditions for the event. All our pupils really enjoyed the experience and tried their very hardest. Particular mention must go to the Year 6 girls teams who finished in 12th place (out of 24). This was a fantastic achievement considering they had not run a cross country before in their lives!!!! A massive well done to all those who competed.
