
Football Tournament at Roots Hall
On Tuesday 17th May, 8 pupils were chosen to take part in the Community Games at the home of Southend United, Roots Hall. This was a very unique opportunity as not many people around the local area are able to say they have played on the hallowed turf! The Community Games was made up of 17 primary schools around Essex, split into 3 groups. VE Day Celebrations
On Friday 6th May 2016 the children from year 4 invited the children from year 3 to celebrate VE day (Victory in Europe). In preparation for the afternoon celebrations, the children in Dolphin and Orca class made and sent their invitations, baked scones, made sandwiches and prepared their best work to share. Reception Visit to Hyde Hall
All of the Reception children went to Hyde Hall today by coach. The sun was shining and the children were excited to start their first ever trip at Porters Grange. The staff at Hyde Hall were all friendly and welcomed us upon arrival. The day started with a talk about birds and the different noises birds make. Everyone had to close their eyes and listen to the different sounds. The children then had to investigate beans and find the root of their bean.

Tennis in the Park
We are really luck to be part of the 'Tennis in the park' scheme which involves us receiving tennis equipment, 30 hours of top quality tennis coaching and entry into local tennis compeitions. This started a couple of weeks ago and Years 4, 3 and 1 have already had their coaching. Years 5 and 6 start theirs this week and EYFS will also be getting some time later in the summer term.
