Rio Olympics Workshop
On Tuesday 19th July pupils in Key Stage 2 took part in a Rio Olympic workshop run by ‘Kidz Fit’. The sessions were really fun and interactive and also a little hot!! Pupils tested their ability to move to music, hoola-hoop and demonstrate their coordination skills. They also learnt about the history of the Olympics, the Paralympics games, why exercise is good for you and about nutrition and food groups. KS2 Sports day
On Wednesday 13 th July pupils in Years 3, 4 5 and 6 took part in their sports morning. They participated in events such as; obstacle relay, foam javelin throw, skipping, long jump, dribbling relay, speed bounce relay, hopping relay and target hoop. Each child competed wearing something in the colour of the house they belong to and everyone who took part contributed towards the overall total for their house- well done everyone. KS1 Sports Day
On Tuesday 12 th July every child in Years 1 & 2 took part in their sports morning. They all wore the
colour of the house they belong to (red, blue, green or yellow) and competed in their classes to score points for their house. Key Stage 1 Borough Sports
On Friday 8th July, 21 pupils from year 2 took part in the annual borough sports athletics competition held at Garons Park. All participants conducted themselves very well, from wearing the new vests to showing great sportspersonship.

Early Years Sports Day
On Wednesday 6th July Early Years had their sports morning. It was a great morning where every child took part and it was fantastic to see so many parents supporting. The children took part in a number of races and events including; egg and spoon, hopping, balancing and target hoop. They all received a medal at the end which was presented to them by their class teachers who were ever so proud of them as was I. Well done Sea Lions and Sea Otters.

Billy’s Band!
On Monday 4th July we had great time as Billy’s Band joined us in our assemblies. They were led by the author of the acclaimed Billy’s Band books and professional musician, Dan Newell (billysband.co.uk). The children were able to see the trumpet, tuba and violin played and learnt a little about the different families of instruments. We then joined in with many musical activities.
