On Wednesday 22nd of January, Porters Grange received some very special visitors from Southend United Football Club. First team players Sam Mantom and Charlie Kelman came to the school for a special question and answer session with our Year Four pupils. The visit was organised as part of the Premier League Primary Stars programme, which has seen a range of Southend United coaches helping our pupils learn the valuable lessons of teamwork and communication to work together on and off the field. The visit was a great success - with the children coming up with some excellent questions for our guests - who led them into insights behind their early starts in football, the skills required to work as a team and how hard work and determination can help you find the career of your dreams! Thank you to Sam and Charlie for their visit, and who knows, we may have some future Southend United players within our school!
