CHARITIES

We encourage the children to learn about charitable giving with our fundraising events. We support charities such as Comic Relief and Children in Need, as well as a number of charities that are selected by the children through our school council, such as Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. We think it is important to teach children about different charities and the work that they do, and to give the children some say in the organisations that they choose in order to instil in them the value of charity. We also support local charities through our harvest collections such as HARP and Southend Foodbank. This early active engagement can make a life-long impact on how they understand and engage with charities and philanthropy more generally.​
