Footbal: Porters Grange vs Edwards Hall

After a tough test in the previous match against Fairways which resulted in an 11-2 defeat. The Porters Grange team arrived at Edwards Hall in high spirits and confident of getting a good result. Two new players, Luke and Jack, came into the team to make their debuts.

The game didn’t get off to the greatest starts with Porters going down 4-0 in the first 15 minutes. The last 5 minutes of the first half was some of the best football that we had played all the season. Kewin pulled one goal back just before half time to make it 4-1.

The half time team talk almost worked wonders straight after half time as Porters came rushing out of the blocks. However the Edwards Hall goalkeeper made 3 fantastic saves within 3 minutes to keep them in the lead. The last 10 minutes was all Edwards Hall. All of the players stepped up their game and showed their dominance, eventually winning the game 9-1.

A brilliant attitude was shown by the Porters players to keep going until the final whistle. A special mention must go out for our goalkeeper Ryan who made 7 or 8 wonderful saves to stop the score line from being any higher.

Our last game of the season will be played next Friday against Bournes Green where hopefully we can end on a high.
