This week, Porters Grange Primary School enjoyed a very special visit from SUEZ’s mobile “Dennis to the Rescue” classroom, bringing an exciting, hands-on learning experience right to our pupils. The visit was awarded following a city-wide poster design competition encouraging children to think about recycling and caring for the environment. We are incredibly proud of Jessica, whose fantastic design was selected as a winning entry.
As well as receiving an art set, Jessica won this brilliant experience for the whole school to enjoy. On Wednesday, the Dennis to the Rescue truck arrived at Porters Grange and spent the day with our pupils. Every class had the opportunity to step inside the mobile classroom and take part in a range of fun and educational activities.
During their sessions, children learned all about the importance of recycling and how we can look after our planet. They took part in interactive games, including tidying up a playground and sorting rubbish into the correct bins, helping them understand how small actions can make a big difference.
One of the highlights of the day was the chance to sit in the driver’s seat and explore the truck up close, which was met with great excitement across all year groups! It was a fantastic day of learning and fun, and we would like to thank SUEZ for providing such an engaging and memorable experience for our pupils.
