Key Stage 1 Borough Sports

On Friday 8th July, 21 pupils from year 2 took part in the annual borough sports athletics competition held at Garons Park. All participants conducted themselves very well, from wearing the new vests to showing great sportspersonship. Each pupil was able to participate in at least 2 of the 4 races that were available to both boys and girls. After this there were all-boy and all-girl relay races. During the competition and afterwards, the pupils were talking about how much they had enjoyed the morning they had and that they were already looking forward to next year.

The children all tried so hard and cheered each other on. With that attitude and enthusiasm towards sport, we cannot wait to take them back next year either. A big well done to everyone!
