On Wednesday ten children from Octopus and Stingray classes took part in a Dodgeball tournament, competing against seven other Southend schools at Garon Park Leisure Centre.

The children played absolutely brilliantly in every match. They demonstrated some superb individual skills with speed and change of direction to outwit their opponents as well as performing some incredible catches to eliminate opposing players. They showed great spirit in their teamwork and tactics. In one game Tyi found himself the last man standing for Porters against four players from the opposing team. He then picked them off one at a time to seal a most impressive victory!

The whole squad gave 100%, supporting and encouraging each other admirably as well as showing great sportsmanship towards their opponents. They were a great credit to themselves and to the school.

Oh, and they won all seven matches!
