Oyster Class had their first lesson on the beach! Mrs Britton showed examples of the types of shells they may find. The children enjoyed exploring the area and were fascinated by what they found, including the tiny crab! They then made an observational drawing of their favourite pebble or shell. A man, who had been digging for ragworm, showed us what he had dug up. The children were so excited to see what the ragworms looked like! Lastly, Mrs Britton encouraged the children to notice the change in the tide, we looked at the glistening ripples. One child said 'Wow, it's beautiful!' and we all had a moment of mindfulness which was just magical!
