Porters has some new leaders because today is Principal for the Day. The whole school voted and three of our Year 6 children have been elected to be the Principal and the two Vice Principals. Staff have been very impressed by how seriously they have taken it and how hard they have worked to make the day special for every year group. They have set the timetable and activities for the day, chosen the lunch menu with Chef David, lead the staff briefing, lead a whole school assembly and met parents on the gates.

Children have enjoyed art lessons based on an element of our school or their class. Reception played and had their own version of the Talent Show, Year 1 designed a new Porters logo, Year 2 made sock puppets, Year 3 painted, Year 4 made Porters shields and Years 5 and 6 designed new school certificates.

Well done Principal and Vice Principals - you have done a fantastic job. They have said they would like to carry on but it's time to hand the reins back to Miss Henley and have a well deserved rest!
