On Friday 13th October 2017 the Porters Grange Gardening Club harvested their first crop of runner beans and potatoes ready to be cooked by the school kitchen and served on Tuesday 17th October.
The children were eager to present their produce to a member of the kitchen staff and our very own caretaker Mr Hudson. The food grown by the Gardening Club will appear on the menu for the rest of the school to enjoy as and when it is ready in order to provide the school children with a healthy home grown school dinner.
Lorraine commented ‘I am definitely going to be school dinners next week so I can taste what they have done with our runner beans and potatoes.’
