On Wednesday 24th February 20 pupils from Year 5 and 6 travelled to Garons Leisure Centre to take part in the Borough Sports Hall athletics competition. This was a huge competition with 18 schools from across the Borough participating. It is also the first time that Porters Grange have ever taken part in the event. It was a fantastic day which saw pupils competing in events such as; obstacle relays, sprint relays, over and under relays, long jump, triple jump, ball throwing, vertical jump and soft javelin throwing. There was even a teachers event where Mrs Blainey had to compete against teachers from all the other schools as Mr Deadman was scared to do so!!!! All the pupils who attended were a credit to themselves and our school.
