Year 1 Author Experience

On the 28th September Year One ‘virtually’ met the author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Victoria Sandoy. They shared and read their beautiful new book ‘The Oak Tree.’ The illustrations are a delight and help tell the beautiful story of an Oak tree living for over 1000 years! The children watched the illustrator demonstrate how to draw an oak tree and animals that use it for their home. The National Trust joined Julia Donaldson and shared interesting facts about our Oak trees. Lawrence in Shell class said ‘I am now fascinated by Oak trees and want to know more!’ Copies of this book are available in our library and at our exciting October book fair.
